I am an English woman, of moderate age, living on the 31st floor in Singapore. I have two little kids, one big husband and a touch of vertigo. My time is spent making play dough patisserie, administering veterinary aid to dinosaurs, and raising cress, as well as reading fiction, listening to podcasts about books and comedy, getting hooked on box sets of TV series, running, and playing Russian-salad roulette with chefs who like to hide meat in vegetarian dishes.
Over the years, I have worked as a journalist, writer and editor in radio, TV, online, magazines and books. I spent nine years with the BBC and also freelanced for Monocle, the UN and a variety of magazines. I’m on the home straight of a two-year Professional Writing MA programme.
